Jan had a point, maybe the sessions are too long. The idea to ask what he likes or wants to work for as a reward is really good. Changing up tasks quickly is a good idea, too. I like the ArticLab type of activities and my students do, too. Maybe you could do a modified version of that. He has so many "centers" to do and then earns a preferred task.
