The things that the district wants every teacher and specialist to do is to take a lesson plan and differentiate it into different activities and present it into a menu for students to choose from. You also have to state what kind of audience your lesson appeals to, ie parents, students. The sped people are all unhappy because we differentiate on a daily basis, but it's a little hard to come up with awesome activities and centers for 20 minutes. Our principal just gushes over people in our building who are all bells and whistles. He expects staff to stay late and work on weekends. My dilemma is that I work with a really great resource teacher and our caseload isn't too bad. The rest of the elementary buildings are probably worse.
