Okay, my fellow SLPs. I either need some tough love or good advice. I am barely hanging on. I don't know if I should continue in this field, but I honestly don't know what else to do at 48. I am an elementary SLP and our district has the specialists into differentiated instruction, whole faculty groups, etc. with classroom teachers. I feel I have nothing to do with their topics and have little to comment on their centers or other topics. It's very frustrating and we have tried to tell our director, but they just keep forcing gen. ed. practices down our throats. I have thought about rehab, but don't know if that's me either. I don't want to be one of those people who is just putting in their time, but unfortunately, that's becoming me more every day. Thanks for letting me vent.
