Can anyone shed any light on this situation?
I have noticed, and others have reported a similar feeling about a 10 year old boy. The feeling is that his written work, language and maturity wise or sophistication wise, doesn't resemble his speech. If you were to hear him speak you would think that a much younger child is speaking to you, although his written work is of a good standard. Should a speech pathologist be involved? The boy is bilingual, but that's not to say that he speaks incorrectly, just "immaturely". It is also known that he has a younger brother of 3 years old. Could this be a psychological issue?
