special ed students and speech

Thank you for your response. My students are not not life skills students-they are all verbal and are required to take the state standardized tests. They are learning the same curriculum as the other students in their grade. However, most of them score lower on the tests and many of them have difficulty with reading, vocabulary, retaining information etc.
