I used to work with the type of caseload you have now. I also prefer to work with non-verbal, life skills kinds of kids...which is what I do now. Anyways, one suggestion I have is to go and observe others within your school district (if possible). I did that a few times my first couple of years and it helped validate what I was already doing.
