I have a student who is hypernasal and I not really sure how to address this. His fricative sounds in sentences are great, but when in conversation he is nasal and more difficult to understand. I has never worked with a child with a cleft repair before. The student is in 4th grade. He started services in K or 1st grade. I have had him use a mirror to see the air comming through his nose, but what else could I do.
