I have done away with a prize box. I too found it harder to get items for older students. Not one child ever really missed it either. I still do punch cards for my older students (4-6th) and they can earn a party. We have a treat and play games- about 1x a trimester. My younger students (k-3rd) are at a different building and have not missed sticker charts or prizes. This has saved me a lot of money, headaches, and less "stuff" sent home.
