There was a study recently published and reported on in my local weekend paper from the ap that showed that autism can in fact be cured-the researchers had case studies on students that really were autistic and really were 'normal' some years later-I will try to find that article and give folks more specifics-the names of the scientists etc. Also, I know two children who are NOT autistic but had food allergies and behavior issues-once the food allergies were identified and treated there were improvements in behavior. If it was my child I would ask for allergy testing and may try some diet modification. I would take all advice with a grain of salt and investigate any and all efficacy studies about treatments. I will try to get back with the specifics on that autism study
