Have you tried incorporating a school picture schedule for him? Also, maybe one at home. You could use the pictures with the verbage then cover the pictures, if needed. As far as fun sequencing activities, I also use cooking. Look up News-2-You. They have current events (maybe a bit old for a 5 yr old...) but they also have great cooking recipes. I also use "Kid Concoctions and Contraptions" and " The Ultimate Book of Kid Concoctions 2". Hope this helps!
