Some districts have an additional stipend to be paid to an SLP tat is above her maximum caseload. More money helps pay for time spent after hours on the reports, etc. Ask the district what they can pay you for the additional caseload! Speech Pathologists are really in demand, but our salaries don't reflect how hard we work or the years we went to school. With the nursing shortage, nurses are going to be making more than we do, and you can get an RN credential in 4 years.
