I'm working with more and more economically disadvantaged children. I remember reading somewhere once about the "culture of poverty" and how it impacts children's language development. Would anyone know where I could find this information again?
Some of these kids qualify for services, but I know you're not supposed to classify a student if the reason they are struggling is due to "economically disadvantage," so what do you do? I guess there needs to be much more language enrichment. Who would do that? Regular educators?
