I agree with most of what Holly said, but in my district, the services would most likely be one or two times a week. We do have students identified as ASD who receive direct services, some get consultation, some get some type of social skills, and some don't need anything. Depends on the students current needs, which can vary from year to year, even during the year. The ones with limited to no service tend to be the older ones, but not always. Sounds like you need a current assessment of your child's current needs, so don't be afraid to ask (insist) for it. Keep us informed, please.
