I've been practicing for nearly 20 years and have never met a child with a diagnosis of autism who did not receive special education services in the schools. Get yourself an advocate, request a re-evaluation if necessary and get services for social language, written language and his overall use of language in the classroom. There should be no argument on your part. Best of luck.
