I use homemade whisper phones (short PVC pipe with two of the corner joints on each end) like a little telephone. They hold it to their ear, I turn the bottom joint out and talk into it. I'm not sure how effective it is. Most of my phono kiddos attention is an issue too. They just want to talk during the bombardment!
