We have an IEP coming up, and I am trying to get one-on-one speech sessions at school for my son. The teacher is not very willing to help us out, and I am still quite new when it comes to IEP's. He is doing very well in his private speech sessions where we have been using the Prompt Technique. The school SLP does not believe in this technique and I am not sure what I can do in order to have someone trained in this to start applying it at school. Also this school does not offer the opportunity for him to be included with mainstream children, even though his social skills are not the best.
