I'm in CA. I have a BA in a non-related field AND an MA in Education w/ emphasis in Special Ed, plus 2 teaching credentials, but I can't get an SLP job in my state (not that I've been trying to). I'm now back in school working towards my Comm Dis degree & CCC-SLP. I'm not in grad school just yet, but I'm taking my prerequisites courses 1st. I guess every state is different, but I've never heard of anyone being able to get hired w/ just a BA OR an MA/MS in another field. It's not really fair for those those who live in the states that allow this. The rules/policies need to be more uniform.
