I have an Autistic 3rd grader who I have taught to read just about anything but is not comprehending. She can communicate her basic needs and wants and can also make a sentence using PECS to request. Our math skills have also progressed and she can add and subtract with regrouping but cannot do skills that require language comprehension. Any ideas?????????
