I just recently applied for the teacher loan forgiveness. I thought I read through all the paperwork carefully and was excited when I thought I'd be getting my Stafford loan paid off. But after I had all the needed paper work sent in, they sent a letter saying I was denied. The reason being I did not have a teaching cerificate. You may want to make sure you do not need to be a certified teacher first!
