Yes, this is especially problematic when Medicaid reimbursement comes in - the Federal Gov't requires that you have C's or a Master's Degree and State License. We here in NJ are dealing with this. When we old-timers leave, ASHA is really going to have trouble (as well as our schools) replacing us.
