Well, if you have been asked to attend, I'm assuming you will. Has your school tried placing this student with another (maybe younger) child to act as the younger child's 'helper.' Maybe if you can get her to open up to a younger child, where she can feel confident of knowing more and being 'in charge', this may help her open up - probably a little at a time. HTH.
