If she is having difficulty paying attention, it may be to sensory issues. Try sitting behind her with your legs out in a v shape and her in between you. Put an activity in front of her. Keep your body pressed up against her. When she loses interest, try rocking her back and forth to help her calm down. Pick 5-10 objects that she has high interest in but is not yet using the words for. Say the name of the object at least 10 times during play. This may only take 10 minutes or so. Do it several times throughout the day. Working in her room is a great idea as it reduces distractions. A picture schedule is a great idea. Hope this is helpful.
