Hard to do this one justice. This was a knock down drag out the entire way. Two very good teams in a test of willpower. Bobcats outlasted MRA by stopping a two point conversion attempt in the third overtime....So many huge plays such as PCS scoring on fourth down twice in OT. Fantastic scene after the game as whole bunch of PCS students and fans rushed the field after the game.....This was the Bobcats first win over MRA so it was a big hurdle to climb....Hawkins and his merry band of Bobcats will celebrate into the night.. What a gut it out win, a huge effort by both teams...MRA is really tough as they have huge linemen and a QB that can sling it. Tough defense to go with it too...This will rank as one of PCS's best ever efforts on a perfect night for football...Big crowd. Lots of noise. Bobcats remain undefeated. Hot dogs were good as well as everything else at the concession stand...MRA brought a good crowd down too..In short all the ingredients for a,great Friday Night high school, football game...
Congrats to all at PCS who make things go, and make the difficult look easy. New additions like the walkway look great...Special group of folks they are and do much for our kids and the community. They are as good as it gets..Big kudos to Hawkins and his staff and all the players. As good of an effort as I have seen anywhere. ...Also, again hats off to MRA. Gutsy call in the third overtime. They played great. Good fan support on the road too..If y'all just didn't have ol,SECfan on your side you would be even better.... ...Now As for Bubba and the boys, they were last seen headed toward the coast in the monster truck with two or three floozies to celebrate at Mary Mahoneys..May not be back till daylight but big wins are worth celebrating..... ..One last thing, That coach Hawkins is a national treasure. He has brought PCS so very far...This was one of his best wins...We're trying to figure out where to put up a statue of him....Maybe behind the sand trap on 18 at the club...We,shall see...By the way, the assorted hangars on were everywhere tonight. We saw one that that could play the " Wolfman" in the next horror movie with no makeup needed, plus a whole bunch that will never have their identity stolen...( no one would want it...) plus a few others that when they played hide and seek as kids nobody would look for them..geez... ...Ain't but one left to say..Go Cats!
