What do y'all think of changing the current format? There's no way to make everyone happy but I'd be all for something like three permanent rivals and rotating schedules mixing the SEC East and West.
I'm ok with how it is now with divisions. I'd prefer no permanent opponent from the other division simply to be able to play all the other teams within a few years as they rotate. As for this proposal, I have no problem with 3 permanent rivals, as I love the big games. I'm not sure, but it seems like this new method would allow more than 2 teams with no losses, or one loss each, and create a complex tiebreaker system. What you do speaks so loud that I cannot hear what you say. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
I believe that this article proposes to do away with divisions and have the top two teams from the entire conference play for the SECCG. Which would often lead to rematches but in a sense it may be better than a loaded West team playing against a weak East team or vise-versa in any given year.
