Coach Ed Reed coached one team at Natchez-Adams High School in the fall of 1969, and seven teams at South Natchez-Adams High School in the fall of 1970 – 1973 and the fall of 1979 – 1981. He and his wife, Gloria, recently moved back to Natchez.
We decided to show our appreciation to Coach Reed for his years of dedication to the student athletes he impacted by holding a tribute to him. Not only did he impact his players, the success of the teams he coached created fun, excitement, and pride that is a shared memory for all of us who experienced those times, whether you were a fellow student, a member of the faculty, a family member, or a fan cheering in the stands.
The date is Saturday, May 21, 2016. The Coach Ed Reed Tribute will be held in the Ballroom at the Hotel Vue in Natchez, MS. The Ballroom seats 200 people. When the seating limit is reached, we will not be able to sell any additional tickets, so please mail your registration form and purchase your tickets, early, in order to get a seat. The deadline for purchasing a ticket to the tribute is Friday, April 22. The tribute is open to everyone who would like to attend. The ticket cost is $30.00 per person. $5.00 of the ticket price for the Tribute will go toward creating an athletic scholarship in Coach Reed’s name at his alma mater, Delta State University.
The registration form, schedule, hotel information, etc., for everyone who's not a player, manager, or coach is located on the Facebook group page "Coach Ed Reed Tribute". Please search for that group page, and you'll be able to download the information from there.

Coach Reed is indeed a good man. He coached me at West Point in 1952-1954. I really liked he and his wife. I was even his boys basketball manager when we won the conference championship. This tribute is very deserving and please give him my best regards. Billy Swindle
