I think Harris has a lot to do with drops throwing the ball 100mph...but the entire team absolutely sucked last night...hopefully just one of those games.Roll Tide!
Maybe. Dural dropped one for a first and goal that was all on him. He probably should have caught one of the deep balls also. The td dupre had go through his hands was thrown hard.
The o-line is road graders and fantastic at run blocking. However, the pass blocking needs to come along. Harris is under pressure fairly often. Also, have they ran a slant yet this season? I'm enjoying the wins and thoroughly enjoying fournette but this team as it is right now won't win the SEC. Great thing is I think they can improve. If they get 10 wins I will be ecstatic.
Dural needs to ride the pine to wake him up a little. Too much talent to have someone out there just going through half motions. He literally quit on several plays. Les called them out on it, so I'd expect to see some increased intensity going forward.
Pass blocking is not terrible, and hopefully it comes along. Harris doesn't have very good pocket awareness either. Their first turnover of the year, his interception when his arm was hit as he released the ball....all he had to do was step up in the pocket. That will likely come with experience. I'd be pleased with a 10-1 regular season for sure. All the teams have flaws...so I'd say they have just as good a chance to win it as any other of the top SEC teams. At least, Vegas thinks so.
I do think many people overreact to one game. Before Saturday, a LOT of people were calling Ole Miss a VERY GOOD, if not GREAT team. A lot of people had written Bama off because of their play against OM......Georgia was great when they beat South Carolina, Vandy, Southern Louisiana, and ULM...Florida is now all the way back, despite struggling against weaker teams the first 3 weeks, etc.....LSU had a poor game....if they string a few together I believe it's cause for concern. Until then I'm going to continue to enjoy the wins.
With the Florida game now announced to be a night game, I really like out chances. They are not great against the run....but OM couldn't expose that...they were also stout against a weaker OM OL...LSU has a very strong OL.....should be a good game...but gotta win at South Carolina first (if they play it there).Roll Tide!
