Now as for a few notes on the opening night of the AAAA tournament at the PCS Billabong...
---Copiah brought a lot of fans and they are a feisty bunch that make lots of noise, and their teams played well indeed...
---Parklane likewise brang, ( past tense of bring..) a lot of fans and had cheerleaders that combined made a lot of racket too..Both of their teams played well..
---Food for those not qualified to gain entry to the Hotty Toddy You-ain't-gettin-in-you-slob-you Hospitality Suite was good and the gym was jumping with activity. Lots of celebrities, those that will never have to worry about held for ransom, a floozie or two, ( somebody had on some serious Midnight Madness perfume. That stuff had to be flammable and would be a great sinus cleaner..) someone that looked like they were the first of their generation to walk upright, a Peggy Lipton look-a-like, Uncle Fester, and of course the best category of all, assorted hangars on......As for the Hospitality Suite, sponsored by Grey Poupon, on both occasions of peering in to see how the other half lives, the same suspects were feasting on the buffet without a shred of guilt...Paris Hiltons 16th birthday party didn't even come close to the level of opulence of the no peons allowed suite...Crab legs and champagne wishes for all..(except the great unwashed masses of course..) Man our smuggled crab claws would have sure been good but our smuggler just got chess squares instead..The good news though is we still have Friday and Saturday to crash the place somehow and least maybe a crab claw or two will come our way...
---Rocket Phil of WPCS 50,000 watts Tower of Power was Rollin off some tunes and will no doubt go deep in his playlist this coming weekend....
---All in all a great night at the good ol Billabong with some great games, good friends and families having a big time in general. This is what it should be and congrats to all at PCS who make the difficult look easy, and do a great job at PCS. We are very lucky to have them in our community doing such great work with our young people...Look forward to Friday's games and of course, Go Cats..
