hey,
i believe that this may have been the case some ten years ago, but dont you think that it has changed? Understandably women were highly exploited in the 'olden' days, especially in horror films, for example Dracula and the fabulous sex driven women who always end up dying. But surely Carol Clovers final girl theory bares some truth. Of course some women may disagree but i love watching films-e.g. scream , with the all powering super women who some how defeats all evil.
Perhaps Women generally do not like the violence in many horror films, however things are becoming more accepatable over time, and im sure that they'll realise, it is only a film after all!
