This club has so much potential and with the resources available to it, it could be a real force in local cricket and before anyone says it is easy to stand on the side and be vocal and not get involved. I have spoken to three senior members of the 1st XI and have offered to get involved at any level, provide materials for the wicket, organise practice sessions etc but I have not been asked. Sorry Ian at present I cannot make Thursday as my flight back from Belfast does not get me home in time to get to the club perhaps next week? Peter, firstly I am not posting anonymously. I have been known as ‘El Gordo’ or ‘Gordo’ since my first year at Grammar (nearly 30 years), even my parents call me Gordo. I post on various cricket forums including play-cricket (when it is open) all under the same name. It is written on most of my cricket gear and it also appears on cricket shirts and training gear I’ve worn at BCC so if I wanted to be anonymous I would have chosen a different alias!
