Hi Chappie,
Think we have, to coin a phrase 'too many chiefs and not enough indians' !! I know I have not been at the club long but I have been playing the game almost 30 years at various clubs across the country to see that BCC is pulling in different directions with no real leadership and too many people scared of changes.
3 websites??!! Why not have one good one, that is kept up to date. play-cricket is the perfect tool, has everything including a 'private' forum where you can air your dirty washing in private!
Is BCC working towards ECB Clubmark? We should be! Further details below.
There is so much available to a club such as us, Groudsmen, Scorers (and what I have seen we could do with one!) & Umpires Courses, Lord Taverners for Youth Cricket - Development & Equipment, Lottery Grants, Playing Fields Association, Cricket Trust, Cricket Development Managers, Sponsorship Oppotunities, the list is endless.
I cannot play every week due to my work and personal commitments but if I had been selected to play for the 1's yesterday and not been told the game had been cancelled I would be considerng my future at this club.
