Posted by Ciaran on 6/8/2006, 9:47 pm, in reply to "Sunday Friendly" in respose the Bird XI crashed to 33-4 as Marshall took 2 early, before Loake (16) and strety (40 retired ) recovered it while Robo (14 retired) saw them towards the end, before i hit the winning runs to give Birdy's team the victory. overally a good day as everyone got a bat and bowl and the game was played in fine sprit.

as for the result, the Bird XI beat the Chapman XI by 7 wickets. Chappys team diserpointed with the bat as they were bundeld out for 135 with over 15 overs left of there 45. the only batsmen to make any impression wee Craig Browne (39) and Russul (31). as for Birds bowlers Robinson, Hallworth, Loake and himself took 2 while me and callum mead took 1.
