Watched quite a bit of the match myself, saw some excellent batting from BCC with another brilliant innings from John Nuttall in only his 2nd innings of any sort since middle of last season, for those who don't know him there are 3 photos of him in the pavilion including one from 20 years ago, so I am especially pleased to see him return to his roots again! John used to be Fixture Secretary here, his Dad Lt.Col Nuttall (who died few years ago) was Treasurer etc and his Mum still lives in Bugbrooke. Disappointed like all the Club that unable to get last wicket for a win.
Again Monday's C & E failed to publish results from leagues 6,7 & 8 - does anyone know why & can results be published next Monday? Maybe it is Secretary for 6,7 & 8 (Sam Gascoyne?) not passing on info to C & E. Know that Yelvertoft lost so assume BCC still top but what is latest league table, for League 7 on ncl website does not bear any resemblance to last one published in C & E on 17 July. Which is correct? Maybe someone can publish latest so that we can put on our notice board before next 1st X1 match on Saturday.
