As far as I know growing up,I always used a small "c" underlined. I was told it represented "Mac" in Scotland for McKee [MacKee], McKie [MacKie], and McKay [MacKay].

: Hi. I was wondering if anyone has run
: across
: an incidence (or reason) where the c in
: McKee was written with it underlined. My
: Aunt said she wrote her name like that as a

: knew why she underlined the c in the first
: place and would like to know why she learnt
: it that way. Any suggestions? Thanks!

: Hi Leslie. My Grandpa McKee ALWAYS
: underlined the "c" in our name. I
: did as well until I was older. I am not sure
: why they did and even tried googling it. I'd
: like to know the answer as well!
