: Hmmm...I was told a similar story as a
: child.
: One of the 5 brothers moved to Ohio. I
: don't know all the children but one was
: William Clarence who had a son named Loren
: (and probably other children...I'd have to
: ask my dad). Loren married Pauline Monahan
: (her father was Charles). They had Loren
: Lee, Charles William, Mary Linda, Pamela
: Nicole, Joel Steven, and Paula Charlene.
: Charles WIlliam is my dad. He married
: Cheryl Ann Miller and had Christopher Edward
: and me - Heather Michele McKee...maybe we
: are distanly related. bye cuz

: I'll tell ya a storie that was told to me by
: my grand father who I was rased by and his
: brothers.It's A storie about 5 brothers who
: came from scotland thru ireland and settled
: in the philadelphia,pa area. The area that
: for many a year was the home to the
: Philadelphia Navy yard !!! The storie is
: that thay setteled the land which is located
: at the head of the schuylkill river were it
: meets and joins the Delaware river !!! If
: you go over the I-95 bridge in Philly you
: get A great view of this property, and ya can
: see why it would be A great place to settle
: in the early days of our country and that
: city!!! It must have been full of game and
: had much fishing as well as water and timber
: all of which were most needed and prized in
: early american life!!! the storie of how the
: McKee famley moved and why was not told to
: me ,or I do not rember it ,i'll say !! The
: only peace of it I do recall is that the
: brother that I come from moved to western
: Penna. And, settled in and around the
: Johnstown area !! were there is still to
: this day lot's of McKee kin and related
: famley. Of note "McKee's rock"
: & "McKee's port" is some of
: the things that are well known in that area
: !!! My grand dad was named Charles William
: McKee the first of 5 children . brothers
: ,robert, thomas, jack[don't know if his real
: name was jack or john ??? we always called
: him jack !!!] and sister florence.
: Charles was born on feb/22/1916 and lived
: thru the great flood in Johnstown,Pa. My
: grand dad married and lost A first wife and
: child and then some time latter married a
: gal from Summerset,Pa named Blodwin Ayers.
: which thay had 2 children one boy named Don
: and A daughter my mom named Charlotte. Then
: Some time after moved to Leaperville,Pa.
: which is part of Ridley Twp,Pa. were I grew
: up !! I belive that my grand dad's father
: which I belive to be named Robert after his
: fathers brother who was named Charles after
: his brother were 2 of the 5 I spoke of
: before???
: so that being the case that makes my grand
: dad's father one of the 5 brothers ??? or
: one of there son's ??? This is the storie I
: was told as a child and I would like to know
: any more Info any one may have on such
: things!!! Any one with any stories or Info
: Please e-mail me and lets share notes !!!

: I am responding to Heather's information. I
: am her aunt. Her father is my next to the
: oldest brother. Her response was pretty
: accurate, I only have a small amount to add,
: My grandfather, William Clarence was born in
: West Virginia in 1899 and died in 1970 (in
: Wooster,Ohio.) He moved to Ohio later. Not
: sure of any of the dates. My Father Loran
: Frederick was one of two children born to
: William Clarence. His brother's name was
: William also. My father Loran was born in
: Marysville, Ohio in 1920. It was originally
: told to me that when our
: great-great(+)grandfather was one of 5
: brothers who came to America. I can't give
: any details. It would be great to find more
: relatives. Hope this helps with the hunt for
: more relatives and information. One other
: correction is my sister Pam's actual name is
: Nola Pam, Not Pamela Nicole.
: Good luck in your endeavors.
