His father was named Hershel McKee and is buried in Scurry, but was born in Alabama around 1890. My father had an older brother named James McKee that was from Scurry, also. The family tradition says we came here from Alabama after the Civil War. My father visited some great aunts in Alabama during WWII and was told our family fought for the South in the Civil War and orignally came from County Armaugh, Northern Ireland. Anyone know anymore, let me know.
