Posted by Julie Hugh McKee married Anne Warnock in mid 1700s. My family have some connection with Warnocks and my grandfather Rev Robert Robson took part in Ordination Ceremony of Rev William Warnock in 1889. Wife of this Rev Robson was Agnes Dunwoody McConnell Robson descended from Andrew McConnell and Margaret McKee. Do you know anything about McKees of Ballynahatty. Are they descended from one of 4 brothers who fought with Robert Edgar? In book of gravestone inscriptions Co Down volume 2 there is a picture of McKee memorial at Boardmills 1st Presbyterian Graveyard and details of family. Hugh McKee of Poagsburn son of John and grandson of Hugh. My ancestor John Dunwoody of Carrickmadyroe gave land for 2nd Boardmills Presbyterian Church. Do let me know if you have details re McKees at Ballynahatty!! Julie

My ancestor Margaret McKee born 1742 of Ballynahatty, Co Down Northern Ireland. Her father was John McKee. In 1763 she married Andrew McConnell who farmed at Ballynahatty. Their church was at Drumbo. They had a son Andrew in 1764 and daughter Margaret about 1766 aand possibly others not listed on IGI list. The son and wife Mary Binsley are buried at Drumbo C of I graveyard. The family later were Presbyterians and buried in their graveyard.
