I hope this info finds some links for you all and subsiquently me. In Memory of Additional Information: Son of Donald and Margaret McCrimmon. Native of Isle of Skye, Scotland. Commemorative Information Cemetery: HOOGE CRATER CEMETERY, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium He is my g Grandfathers or g Grandmothers brother. I am not sure because my Grandmother stated she came to Australia with an uncle, but never specified who was her actual father or mother, her name was Margaret McC. His brothers and sisters and their locations in 1917 were: Mary McC Glenbrittle Isabella “ “ Allan “ Eymort Kate Cameron Duart Catherine McC Sydney Marie Campbell Sydney John McC Sydney Dolima Lorimer Mulben (niece) Margaret McC (mother) Glenbrittle Hope this info is useful to you and others. Sunday, 16th September 1917. Age 46.
Father Donald was deceased and mother Margaret died sometime not long after Alexanders death in 1917.
I also doubt that he was 46 as stated on his grave because is Army papers (that he filed out) state that he was 40 and 10mths at the start of 1917 when he joined up.
