In the LeConte Papers, manuscript room, U. of GA, Athens, GA, is found data from the Neill J. McRimmon bible, 1936, listing Archibald McRimmon, b Scotland, d Marion District SC USA between 22 Jul and 5 Oct 1842. Wife not given. Children: (1)Neill, b 20 Nov 1797, d 24 Jan 1862 (Roberson Co NC USA), 2)Christian, b 1799, spinster, d 10 Aug, 1874; (3)Catherine, b 1801, spinster, d 1 Aug 1874; (4)Katie, b 1803, spinster, d 7 Sep 1876.
Neill McRimmon m Margaret McInnis, b 17 Nov 1802, d 17 Feb 1851 with issue, 6 sons and 3 daughterfs, all of whom are given with b and d dates and spouse names when applicable.
The 4th child of Neill and Margaret (McInnis) McRimmon was also named Archibald, born 19 Sep 1832 and who m Amelia Cade with issue, 3 sons and 4 daughters. Spouses and locations were given.
One of this Archibald's sons was also an Archie who m Nora ... and had a son Archie.
Another of Archibald's sons was Neill Joseph McRimmon of Rowland NC who was b 26 Jun 1866 and who m on 20 Aug 1902 to Emmie Wilt Moore, b 8 Oct 1882, with issue, 5 sons and 6 daughters.
