Glasgow to the Isle of Skye will be a very long day! It is over 200 miles - 5 hours journey time each way. The minimum coach tour is 2 days. Flying from Glasgow to Inverness will still mean another 100 miles - 3 hours by road each way.
To have a real good leisurely visit around the Isle would require a 3 day trip.
PS - Don't forget to visit the National Piping Centre and Museum in Glasgow.
