Piping?

I'm looking into my family history for performing accurately at the renaissance faires I attend, and for school credit and I've reached this name on my father's side; MacCrimmon. I am so pleased to hear that part of my heritage involves the bagpipes. I've loved the sound of them, the feel of them even before I knew I was Scottish in origin.
And this has inspired me so much, where would I look into learning how you play the pipe? Especially here in the middle of Nevada, if anyone can point out a way, I'd be so thankful.
