I have Donald Ross, Baptist missionary of Uig, Skye, b. abt 1780, d. 1868. 1861 census indicates Kilmuir birth. Father Malcolm, Mother Sarah McInnes (first wife?).
There were very few baptists on Skye - I feel they must have been kinsmen. The age is right for them to be brothers. The sticking point is the Mother. Any thoughts? Could be cousins of course, but it is tantalizing.
