Posted by Richard Thomas My uncle is another Donald McCrimmon. He lives in Allegheny Co., Penna., USA. His father was Robert McCrimmon born about 1888 in Dumbartonshire Scotland. He married Elizabeth Anderson born about 1889, also in Dumbartonshire, whose maiden name was maybe Duffy. My cousin Donna McCrimmon says she has copy of a lament written by still another Donald McCrimmon of the 1700's and that her McCrimmon's were pipers and warriors to the Clan McLeod on Isle of Skye (Dunnegen Castle?). I have Robert and Elizabeth and their children {Elizabeth, Donald and Jessie} in the 1930 Allegheny Co. Penna. census but I have not been able to find their parents in either the USA or UK census data. (I don't have access to Canadian census data.) I did not find them in the McC/MacCrimmon Genealogical Registry I left a message on the Isle of Skye McC/MacCrimmon message board

I just sent the following email to , I guess, your cousin, Doonald. It looks like your grandparents and my uncles parents have the same names; maybe theie is more overlap; but this couple lived in the States???
Do you recognize any of these names??
