Hey Folks,
I am an art teacher at Houlton High School and I KNOW HOW TO MAKE tissue paper May baskets.
Fold from corner to corner until you have a shape that looks like an ice cream cone, about four folds I think. Then start cutting from the bottom of the cone shape, across the cone BUT not all the way, slits, changing sides with each cut. I wish I could draw a diagram for you. anyway, cut the slits almost to the top, not cutting into the part of the paper that is actually the cone. After cutting the slits, open the paper, join at the corners, attach a handle and fill with a few pieces of candy. If you can send me an envelope with your address I will send you a basket and instructions. Bonnie Tidd, Houlton Jr/Sr High School, 7 Bird Street, Houlton, Maine. 04730
Or I can take a couple pictures with my digital camera of the process and possible email it to you. God bless you all and happy may basket making.
