I was wandering why there has been so little publicity about the protests which will take place next wednesday. Is it that the media is more interested in the events in the middle-east and the Queen Mother's death or is it something to do with the fact that to bring about questions on globalisation and world trade is not the wisest thing to do at this moment in time. Perhaps this war on terrorism relies on the infallability of the American Instituion. Diplomatically speaking we might not want to get into discussions about the West's sudden shift to right-wing extremist politics; the recent risk of a French fascist Presidency and Berlusconi's doggy reform plans on worker's rights (Art.18) put at risk the unity of the European Union as well as Nato and of course the coalition against terrorrism (you're either with us or against us).
Maybe it's just not worth the hassle...
