I play a game with my students. They stick their tongue out like a frog and I 'try' to catch it. Muscle strengthening. I also noticed my non- /k/ kids have severe gag reflex. I have the moms brush their tongues at tooth brush time and also suck on lollipops like 'dumdums that fit in their mouth.
