This is my first boat to build. After looking around online I found many very complex boats. So, I figured, why not just look at the basics and design one myself. Wish me luck. I plan on using 2 pieces of ply wood. The floor will be made of 3/4" outside rated plywood with the sidewalls and rear made of 1/4" Lauan. It will be simply made and hopefully all wood materials can be pulled from the scraps of the two pieces of plywood. If so, according to my math I will have made a 8' long 40" wide 1' deep $20 boat. Not including resin/nails/labor. Wish me luck. Eventually I want to either obtain a fiberglass hull or make a wood hull to house a 550cc jetski power system. Beyond that, a twin or triple system. Carrying over or trading the jetski as I go.
