It is wonderful at the end of october, still summer (hot), some cloudy days can occur and here and there a rain shower or even a thunderstorm, but bathing suit weather prevails. The restaurants are closing one by one but you will find still a couple of them open in October. There are something between two and three boats a day running from the gorge and as far as I know there is no special shut down date for the gorge, it is only blocked on days of heavy rainfalls. Have fun! --Previous Message-- : Two things. Firstly I am hoping to visit Loutro somewhere between : 23 and 30 October. Never been this late in the year. What is it : like? Are all the resteruants still open? Also do we have any : firm idea yet when the gorge will close. I have been given two : dates. One the 20th and the other the 31 if the rain holds off. : Anyone heard anything? I take it there is only one ferry a day : from the bottom if it is open?
