Sorry to read the sad news Ralph, and your bad experience with the local police. After all, Loutro is just an ordinary place although the visitors think it is heaven. I have been coming back since 1981. Then I slept in the castle with little money in my pocket. Now i always stay in the Bluehouse. Some rooms do have private safes. It would be a great help for loutro to have a cash machine so you dont need to carry around cash. The cash machine in Sfakia only takes VISA, not the most common card in Europe. Hope you change your mind. After all, after so many years of pleasant visits, can you accept that a thief takes away the real treasure ?
