In our school, we use Zoophonics which uses alot of movement to learn the sounds prior to the letters. We have a Pre-ESE class (ages 3-5) who are doing Zoophonics. It is amazing, easy and it works even for 3 year olds! Letter naming will not enable kids to learn to segment, blend, and discriminate sounds in order to read. Sounds are the way to go.
