I have a client with whom I have been using the Lindamood-Bell Visualizing/Verbalizing technique for over 5 months. We have been very successful with this technique. It has helped to give my client a useful strategy to use when attempting to define unfamiliar vocabulary. Also helpful is "Vanilla Vocabulary" also by Lindamood-Bell.
